Description of Neodymium Magnet N52-50*25*10mm
A Neodymium magnet is a permanent magnet made from an alloy of Neodymium, iron and boron. They are the strongest type of permanent magnet commercially available. They have replaced other types of magnet in the many applications in modern products that require strong permanent magnets, such as motors in cordless tools, hard disk drives and magnetic fasteners.

Applications:
 Industrial & Workshop Applications
- Magnetic Separators: Suspended over conveyor belts to extract ferrous contaminants (nails, screws, tramp iron) from grain, plastic pellets, or chemical processing lines.
- Tool Holders & Organizers: Mounted to workshop walls or tool carts to securely hold heavy iron tools, wrenches, and impact sockets.
- DIY Welding Fixtures: Used to clamp and hold heavy steel plates or pipes at perfect right angles before welding.
 Automotive & Marine Uses
- Fluid Filtration (Oil Pan Magnets): Placed on the exterior of engine oil pans or transmission pans to trap microscopic metallic wear particles that pass through standard oil filters.
- Fuel Line Ionizers: Clamped onto fuel lines in pairs in certain custom automotive or experimental setups.
- Object Retrieval: Dropped into water or deep crevices (often tied to a heavy paracord) to retrieve lost iron tools, anchors, or keys.
Science, Engineering & Hobby Projects
- Wind Turbine Generators: Used in the rotors of DIY permanent magnet alternators (PMA) or wind turbines to generate electricity when spun past copper coils.
- Eddy Current Braking: Dropped down non-magnetic metal tubes (like copper or aluminum) to demonstrate Lenz’s Law and magnetic braking for physics educational displays.
- Heavy-Duty Latches: Concealed inside cabinetry, heavy hidden doors, or wall panels to create seamless, high-force magnetic closures.
Neodymium magnets are not toys. A magnet of this grade and size requires extreme caution
- Pinch Hazard: The pull force is strong enough to severely pinch skin, blood blisters, or crush fingers if two magnets slam together unexpectedly.
- Brittle Composition: Despite feeling like heavy steel, NdFeB is a sintered crystalline structure akin to ceramic. If allowed to snap together uncontrolled from a distance, they will violently shatter, creating sharp metal shrapnel. [1]
- Electronics Interference: Keep them safely away from pacemakers, mechanical watches, credit cards, computer hard drives, and sensitive electronics.
